How Do You Learn the Notes in 5th Position?

Naming the notes at the 5^th fret from the 6^th string to the 1^st string helps to get your bearings in 5^th position.  If you know the note that your 1^st finger is playing, in any position, it will help you get a handle on the other notes of the scale.  Remember, “ if you can say it, then you can play it”.
